Culinary Talent Hunt at ‘The Chef Masters’ Food Carnival

The residents and guests of New Gurugram enjoyed a gala culinary treat and food carnival at ‘The Chef Masters’ event hosted there organised by Integra Communications and 3oiseaux Pvt. Ltd. on the last weekend of January at MAPSKO Royale Ville Sector 82, Gurgaon.

Prior to the event, culinary talent from across the city was invited to register to participate in the cooking competition. The top 10 shortlisted contestants put in their culinary skills to work and presented a foray of yummy dishes to be judged. They had the liberty to make any type of dish under the theme ‘Healthy and Nutritious Bites’ and vegetarian options.

The jury team of Chef Nitin Pal Singh, founder of Cook & Bake Academy, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi and Chef Goarav Malhotra of IBIS Hotels took up the challenging task of finding the best of the culinary talent evaluating on innovation, hygiene, tasting and plating presentation.

The winners that took top positions were Mr. Jai Prakash, who cooked up a bajra momo dish with gravy. The 1st runner-up position winner was Mrs. Ankita Lodha with her version of baked Daal Bati and 2nd runner up was Mrs. Liza Borah with her Assamese Tupula bhaat and condiments.

Through the evening, while the excitement of the competition built up, foodies enjoyed the sumptuous cuisines offering by many food stalls in the arena. Stalls of many kitchen appliances, cooking accessories also drew crowds for shopping. A favourite amongst them was Natures Connect, which had a range of eco-friendly, handcrafted and 100% natural cooking utensils like earthen pots and water dispensers.

The powerhouse live bollywood performances of YouTube sensations Mampi Debnath and Abhishek, and mesmerising voice of Sufi and folk singer, Suman A Sharma kept all at the event entertained. The added flavour of the evening was the presence of Guests of Honour, RJ Divya of RadioCity FM 91.1 Maa-Behan ka show fame and Sapna Punni, 1st runner up at Mrs. India Legacy 2019.

The event had footfall from people from across the city with many coming with families to enjoy a leisurely evening out. Kids went about enjoying the fun activities and some got a chance to showcase their talent on the stage while the adults tried their voices out at Karaoke and tasting the delicacies.

Bringing such events in the city, the organisers surely gave a change to the fresh talent to present amazing gourmet skills and probably paving path to someone’s dream to be a celebrity chef.
